About 25 years ago, Laurel and I borrowed money from my parents and invested it in our family by buying a cottage at Mahaffey Camp. Our children, Tim and Esther, wore out their sneakers running around THEIR Camp. The spiritual enrichment they received was priceless. They made life-changing decisions for Christ in those years. Laurel and I agree, it was one of the best investments we ever made in our children’s lives.
Every year at Mahaffey Camp, someone is faced with the difficult decision to sell their cottage. I resolved, years ago, to help these people by providing a web site where there cottages could be listed for sale. Additionally, this helps people who find themselves where Laurel and I were years ago – looking for a way to invest in the spiritual development of their family.
Dozens of cottages have changed hands through the years. And dozens of new cottage-owning families have been blessed at Mahaffey Camp.

Ever year you hear of a hunter getting lost or being unable to get out of the woods for another reason. No one wants to be in the woods for the night, unless that was their intention. That’s why it’s a good idea for hunters to turn on location sharing in Google+ and share their current location with the people and circles they choose on Google+ and Google Now.
When you enable Location Sharing, Google shares your best available location with people or groups you select. You can share with pinpoint accuracy or only at a city-level with others. Most importantly, you can choose to share your location with certain people — or circles of friends on Google+. I share my pinpoint location with my family. I could share my city-level location with peers. Don’t worry, you can change who can see your location or completely turn off Location Sharing anytime.
How to use Location Sharing:
Turn on Location Reporting on from a compatible device — Android or iOS.
Enable Location Sharing.
Choose who can see your location.
All three of these steps must be taken for Location Sharing to function.
How to Manage Location Sharing (turning it off and on)
Open the Google+ app.
Select Menu > Settings.
Choose the appropriate account
Select Location sharing.
Turn it off or on by touching the switch next to Location Sharing.
To share your exact location, touch Choose People to share with on the “Pinpoint Location” card.
To share your current city, touch Choose People to share with on the “City Location” card.
Select OK.
If you don’t change your sharing settings, your location is shared only with you.
How to Turn Location Sharing on or off on iOS
Open the Google+ app.
From Home, select the menu and then settings icons.
Select Location Sharing.
Turn Location Sharing off and on by touching the switch next to Location Sharing
To share your exact location, touch Choose people to share with on the “Pinpoint Location” card. Click Edit to add or delete names.
To share your current city location, touch Choose people to share with on the “City Location” card. Click Edit to add or remove names.
Select OK.
If you don’t change your sharing settings, your location is shared only with you.
How Can my Friends Find Me?
People with whom you share your location will be able to see your location on your Google+ profile below your name on any Desktop, Android, and iOS device they are logged into. Additionally, they will be able to see your location on a map in the Locations destination in the Google+ app on their Android or iOS device.
OK — I kind of gave up on being an astronaut when I was in about fourth grade, but if I could figure out a way to observe this firsthand, I’d be on my way!
