A brief review.<\/p>\n

I just finished reading James Emery White’s book,\u00a0Christ Among the Dragons<\/em>, a Father’s Day gift from my children. White is becoming one of my favorite authors. I stumbled upon his blog a couple years ago and now follow him on Twitter.<\/p>\n

In\u00a0Christ Among the Dragons<\/em>,<\/strong> he speaks of areas of Christian faith that this generation needs to explore:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Truthiness — what is truth?<\/li>\n
  2. What does it mean to be salt? How to engage our world?<\/li>\n
  3. What does it mean to be\u00a0Christians Together\u00a0<\/em>in a world where Christian bloggers and writers act like they hate one another?<\/li>\n
  4. What role does\u00a0The Church\u00a0<\/em>play in a society where, even to many believers, she is perceived as irrelevant.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    My favorite part of the book<\/strong> was where White spoke with clarity about the sin of envy in the hearts of many pastors and bloggers. I believe he was right on.<\/p>\n

    If you’re looking for a good Christian read that will stimulate your thinking, I recommend the book. I left it feeling encouraged about the possibilities that lie in the areas I’ve not yet explored.<\/p>\n
