There\u2019s a radio preacher on the shortwave that I\u2019ve listened to who teaches his people to take communion in their homes. <\/strong>He leads them in taking it, reading the passages, giving the message, and saying the prayer. He even says, \u201cThis take in remembrance of me. Let us take it together.\u201d<\/p>\n

At first, I thought, <\/strong>\u201cThat\u2019s kind of a good idea. It\u2019s good for shut-ins.\u201d<\/p>\n

But as I have come to understand Communion and Community, I see that we are to take it together — as we are assembled <\/em>together. I am not saying it\u2019s wrong, if you can\u2019t get out to be with other Christians, to take it alone.<\/p>\n

But the design is to be taking it together.<\/p>\n

This message<\/strong> speaks to the meaning of the word \u201cCommunion\u201d and how it relates to togetherness.<\/p>\n
