What do you mean, “Required DLL file … not found”?

More than once I have installed QuickVerse on my computer (because I replaced the HD) and it was unable to find some of the files it had just installed. The error it gave was “Required DLL file … not found”.

Looking at the filenames of the missing files, I saw they were more than eight characters. I clicked START / FIND (SEARCH) and looked for files starting with the first six letters of the missing files. The search uncovered the files in the QuickVerse folder, but with truncated DOS names. I renamed each file with the name QuickVerse was seeking and it worked.

Over and over again, you see a problem in churches: Pastors being asked to leave. In fact, the issue of forced exits is so real that many men and women who work with pastors spend much time studying the issue of forced exits. Have you seen a lot of them in Churches this past year? I know of young pastors who have been shown the door. I know of a pastor in his prime ministry years who was asked to leave. I know of a pastor three decades my senior who was asked to leave. That’s scary. How many people have left because of poor performance? Few.
